I was so happy to spend the weekend with my dear friend Jess. We have been friends since our husbands were in flight school 10 years ago. We may not get to see each other all the time but when we do it's like we never missed a beat!I don't have many friends that take the time to come visit me but she does and will!!!! We feel so lucky to have been selected for Clay's new job and location. When we found out we made a bucket list of the things we wanted to do while we were in the New England area....
Got to mark one of our # off the list within two weeks of arriving! What a joy to experience Macy's Santa Land with the kids!
We also walked to see Rockefeller Center to see the tree, lights and ice skating!

My parents flew the kids up a few days after we moved to CT. Movers delivered on Monday and we were unpacked and moved in by the end of the week! Kids loved an early Christmas with the Grandparents! Vera got an American Girl doll that looks like her and Charlie got a power wheels dune buggy (he calls dune bugger)!

We got tickets to Mickey's Very Merry Christmas "after hours" to see an amazing parade, beautiful holiday fireworks and ride more rides! Mom and Dad got to ride Space Mountain a few times too!!!

My type A (military officer) husband worked his magic at Magic Kingdom. Using an amazing App on our phone we managed to ride every age appropriate ride at the park and some. We were so lucky because both Vera and Charlie were over the height requirements for all the rides!
It was a MAGICAL DAY!

Our second favorite park at Disney. All the kids favorite characters are at this park! We had a yummy character lunch, the boys got to ride star wars several times, an awesome stunt show, kids rode tower of terror and ending our night with a Christmas lights display!

Well folks the Duncan Clan is on the move again....
Clay just finished up his 2nd of 3 courses. We will be taking a much needed vacation to DISNEY for a week! Then we will be moving to Connecticut!
We were offered to be on the HGTV show House Hunters but had to decline. We decided to rent due to only having a three year assignment. As much as I would have loved that experience we had to do what was right for our family. So, I trusted Clay to pick out our home.... OMG wish me luck!!!!! This will be the first time in 10 years that he has had any say in where we live. Usually he is away or too busy at work to pick out a house.....

Can't wait to post about all our new adventures!

I left last weekend to take the kids up to Ohio. I am so blessed to have AMAZING mom, dad, mother-in-law, brother and sister-in-law for helping watch our kids! This way I can focus on the movers and getting us out of Alabama with no troubles!...

The kids said goodbye to Miss Sally and the twins before we left. Vera wanted to get Milky Moo's and of course Miss Sally isn't going to say NO to her! Poor Miss Sally was so sad but we say it's not GOODBYE... its SEE YOU LATER!

And... we will be saying hello to Connecticut. We are going to be stationed in Connecticut where Clay will be working at the Sikorsky helicopter plant.

Job Description:Deputy Program Integrator for the ACAT 1D Black Hawk helicopter program valued at over $6.6 billion responsible for delivery of combat-ready aircraft to the Warfighter. Directs two multi-functional program support teams (PSTs) totaling 24 civilian and military personnel that provide contracting manufacturing quality engineering and earned value management support. Responsible for delivering aircraft to the Army that meet or exceed all performance cost and schedule requirements of the contract. Leads the PSTs in a performance-based environment focused on achieving the Program Managers (PM) desired outcomes. Serves as principal advisor to the PM for in-plant contractor surveillance. As a UH-60 Maintenance Test Pilot responsible for conducting government acceptance maintenance test flights on new production aircraft.

So we have been house hunting and will be moving to Trumbull Connecticut! No house yet but we hope to find something great for our family! We are looking forward to our new adventure and some SNOW!

This week the movers are coming to pack up our household goods. Yes, after 4 1/2 years of being stationed at Fort Rucker we are finally moving.
Clay has several courses at different military post. So, while he is in school the kids and I are going to hang out in Ohio at grandma Carol's house for a few months.

The kids got to attend vacation bible school this summer! I volunteered as well, 2 1/2 hours, five days a week with 25 preschoolers... IT WAS CRAZY...... but rewarding too!
Vera moved up to the kindergarten class so I had to sneak to get pictures of her. Overall they had great time and learned more about JESUS!
